NOTICE is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of West Kelowna, 2760 Cameron Road West Kelowna, BC to consider:

1.    “ZONING AMENDMENT Bylaw No. 154.56

Location:                     3280 and 3290 Glenrosa Road and one parcel on Salmon Road   

Legal Description:      Lots A and B, DL 3190, ODYD, Plan KAP68680, and Block 105, DL 3190, ODYD, Plan 777

File No:                        Z 17-02

Purpose:                    To amend Zoning Bylaw No. 154 by rezoning the three parcels from Rural Residential Large Parcel (RU4) to Low Density Multiple Residential (R3), Single Detached Residential (R1), and Parks and Open Space (P1) to facilitate development of a residential neighbourhood.

2.    “ZONING AMENDMENT Bylaw No. 154.60

Location:                     811 Douglas Road   

Legal Description:      Lot A, DL 2687, ODYD, Plan 23660

File No:                        Z 17-15

Purpose:                    To amend Zoning Bylaw No. 154 by rezoning the subject property from Large Parcel Single Detached Residential (R1L) to Single Detached Residential (R1) to facilitate a potential three-lot subdivision in the future.

Copies of the bylaws and related materials may be reviewed at Municipal Hall, 8:30 to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, up to and including February 27.


All persons who believe their interest in property is affected by either proposal may speak at the public hearing or provide a written submission for Council consideration.  Written submissions may be delivered in person at Municipal Hall, or sent by mail, email, or fax per the contact information given with this notice.  All submissions must be made Attn:  City Clerk and received by 4 p.m. on Monday, February 26. 

Submissions should reference the bylaw number in the subject line and include your name and the civic address or legal description of the land affected by the proposal.  Please be advised that all submissions, including the names of authors will become part of the public record.  The author’s phone number and email address are not relevant and should not be included in the correspondence if the writer does not wish his or her personal information disclosed. 

Any written submission received after the 4 p.m. deadline on February 26 will not be circulated to Council; however, submissions received after 4 p.m. will be available for viewing in the Public Hearing binder.


Please Note that Council cannot receive submissions after the conclusion of the Public Hearing.
