With assistance from the Government of Canada, through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Project, the City of West Kelowna will be making major improvements to Memorial Park throughout 2016 and 2017, in preparation for the nation's sesquicentennial.
About the Project
Memorial Park Improvements will include an upgraded Skate Park in place of the old, deteriorating facility, adjacent to Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre and a new amphitheatre in the northwest section above the main field for Canada Day, Music In the Park and Westside Daze celebrations:

Excavate existing skate park
Reshape and re-grade the skate park foundation
Build new reinforced concrete bases and jumps, and install
Build cast in place concrete walls for seating and access stairs
Install wiring, lighting, shade trees, drainage and irrigation, and wheelchair railing.
