Place waste carts at the curb by 7 a.m. on the day of collection. For collection dates, please see the map and schedule in the Living Greener Calendar. Waste is collected weekly. Recycling and yard waste are collected on alternating weeks. Yard waste is collected between March 1 and November 30.
Park it. Put the bin on the side of the street in front of your home, with the wheels against the curb, or on the shoulder, if no curb.
Point it. The arrow on the cart lid must be facing the road.
Place it. Provide one metre (three feet) clearance between carts and between adjacent obstructions; ensure the placement provides room for pedestrians and cyclists to pass and does not obstruct driveway accesses, traffic and the path of snow plows.
Close it. All materials must fit entirely in carts with lids shut.
