The West Kelowna Bulk Water Station is a subscription based service that provides an affordable option to efficiently supply large volumes of residential and commercial water. Once a customer applies to the city to use the service, the station can be accessed via access code, which is provided at the time of subscription.
Location: Corner of Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads.
To apply, please download, complete and submit the application form to City Hall by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or in person at 2760 Cameron Road, West Kelowna, BC V1Z 2T6:
Please note: Contractors who once applied for a permit to obtain bulk water from a municipal hydrant must now use the station so that the risks of backflow into the water supply system are eliminated.
The bulk water rate is $1.03 per cubic metre. In addition, residential customers are charged a one-time fee of $31.63, and commercial and non-resident customers are charged $63.25 to set up an account and obtain an access code.
The fees account for:
Existing water rates for other customers in the City of West Kelowna
Rates charged at similar facilities in nearby jurisdictions
The costs of designing the site, purchasing the appropriate station and account administration
The fee structure was set February 26, 2013 and is subject to future change; please confirm rates with staff at the time of subscription. *Rates were updated January 1, 2017 per amended Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 0028.
